Using the Memory Icons format for memorizing God's word makes it so stinkin' easy. . .it's like a brain cheat.

I am so thankful for the scriptures which teach us the way of salvation through Christ Jesus. A good verse to memorize and share with a friend. Under the picture below is a download link so you can print the verse. Version of the verse is World English Bible, public domain.
If I want cheers from my family I make this for dinner. It is healthy and quick.
Pick up a cooked chicken from the grocery store, debone and let cool. Place chicken on a large bowl full of lettuce (I use romaine) with sliced red cabbage, julienne carrots and green onions. As much of each as you would like. Add one large can of mandarin oranges (because if you are making this with the kids around you know there will be snacking and a small tin just won't do) and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Toss with the yummy dressing (below). Fried noodles can be added to the top or put in a separate bowl on the table. Yummy Dressing: 1/2 cup mayonnaise 5 Tablespoons rice vinegar 2 Tablespoons sugar 2 Tablespoons toasted sesame oil 1 Tablespoon soy sauce 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder Depending on time, you can cook your own chicken or use leftovers. You can also used pre-washed lettuce packs with cabbage and carrots included. But I am sure you already know those life-hacks in the kitchen. Photo credit due to my son, who captures God's creation through his lens so well. School, clubs, sports are probably starting up for you again this month. When we will once again get geared up to the same rpms we left off when summer started. This can be so overwhelming! May you find encouragement in Ephesians 2:10 summarized in these three points:
1) We are God's masterpiece. 2) Through Christ Jesus we are created for good things. 3) God had the plan for us even before we existed. So let's hit September and all the plans God has in store with the knowledge that we don't have to go at it alone. |
Alison HansThis site is my answer to the question, "What are you going to do after home-schooling?" I knew God would have a plan to fill my heart's desires. . .He always does. My joy is found in being a wife and mom of two high-schoolers. Hailing from Canada 20+ years ago I will most likely be found wearing flip-flops, loving the warm Southern California weather. I have also designed and developed another site called:
